Our story: From Frustration to Innovation
A trip to the emergency room with his father ignited a spark in Tom Rhoads, a man with experience in pharmaceuticals and entrepreneurship. The turning point came when the doctor asked a simple question: “What medications is your father on?” A seemingly easy query turned into a moment of stress and uncertainty – Tom simply didn’t have the answer readily available.
This experience became the catalyst for change. Tom knew the current system, often relying on pillboxes and plastic bags, could be vastly improved. He envisioned a solution that not only empowered patients with better medication management but also fostered collaboration between patients, researchers, and clinicians.
Thus, Spencer Health Solutions was born. What began as a mission to create a smarter medication dispensing device has blossomed into a team of dedicated professionals.
